Help us use digital and data to help Bristol eradicate Period Poverty.

Bristol City Office, Bristol City Councils Sustainability and Innovation team and One City Partners from across the city are collaborating to host a unique event.

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September we will work together to create a digital solution in support of the Period Friendly Initiative.

Introduction
The Global Shapers Community is a network created by the World Economic Forum to connect young community leaders (20-29 years old) and thus leverage youth's desire for change to improve communities around the world. There are over 8,000 Shapers organised in over 400 Hubs from Shanghai to San Francisco. The Bristol Hub is a new addition to this community, as the World Economic Forum accepted our proposal on the 18th of April 2019.

Feeling brave?  Why not take part in our Abseil in the Mendips for Home-Start Bristol. You can make a difference to the lives of families and children in Bristol - all it takes is a few steps... A few steps down to be precise, as part of our sponsored abseil.  It sounds scary - but its all for a good cause. The abseil will take place on 21 September, 10am-1pm.

Arts and Culture funding: Originators Fund Information Session - 16th September 2019 at Mshed, Bristol

Come along to find out more about Bristol City Council’s annual arts and culture funding. This session will launch Originators Funding for 2020-21 – the annual funding stream managed by the Arts & Events team at Bristol City Council.

On Sunday 8th September 2019 Bristol will be hosting Walking out of Darkness. This 10km walk around the historic Bristol harbour is your opportunity to make a difference and to be a part of a movement promoting mental health equality for all.

Walking out of Darkness is a message to our community, businesses and the local authority that more needs to be done. It’s an opportunity to learn about local initiatives created to support those with mental ill health. It’s a chance to speak openly without stigma or discrimination about our experiences.

UWE Bristol Volunteering Fair is a great opportunity for organisations, charities and community groups to showcase their organisation and opportunities to find volunteers for their projects. On average, 1,000 students from a wide range of courses attend the fair looking for voluntary roles. UWE Bristol Volunteering Fair is also a great opportunity for networking with other organisations from Bristol and beyond - last year we had 100 stands.
