The annual Get Creative Festival shines a light on all the great cultural activity that takes place on a regular basis in local communities and encourages people to try their hand at something new and creative. This huge annual celebration of creativity aims to give everyone the chance to get actively involved in a creative event in their local area through free, participatory events organised by community groups, arts organisations and volunteers.

This year St Pauls Carnival partnered with the Martin Parr foundation to host a photography programme which saw 12 volunteer photographers out on the streets, taking shots of the iconic event that is St Pauls Carnival! 
The collection of photographs show the diverse of Carnival Day, from the Elders Brunch to the procession, to the sound systems getting everyone dancing well into the night.
The collection was exhibited at the Arnofini for a month during the summer and travelled to The Downs festival at the end of August.

On Sunday, 27th October 2019 we are holding an informal My Guide Celebration Event in Bristol, where you can come and find out more about the service, meet My Guide volunteers and service users. A barn dance duo will be there all afternoon for those of you that want to take part, light refreshments will also be provided.

Come to our open day, part of Bristol Open Doors, and explore Blaise's wonderful, walled Victorian garden.  Take a guided tour and learn all about the history of the garden and how the Victorians used plants for cooking and medicine.  There will also be a cafe and plant sale and some family friendly activities.

The chance for anyone who can't ride a bike independently to give cycling a go!

Life Cycle UK is partnering with Ride Out Ride On to offer people who are visually impaired or disabled the chance to experience the joys and freedoms of cycling.

Our friendly team will be at the CREATE Centre to chat to people about our programme of sociable group rides for people who can't ride a bike independently - and enable anyone who is interested to give it a try.
