Rooted is a contemporary dance theatre production packed with emotive imagery and rich textured movement, bringing together unheard stories from those living in isolation. Performed by passionate young dancers using visceral group choreography, it examines what it means to feel alone. This commissioned piece explores the duality of isolation and assimilation through contemporary dance theatre.

Marmalade Trust started Loneliness Awareness Week (LAW) just three years ago. It was really apparent to us that raising awareness is an important part of changing the way we think and acknowledge loneliness.  We need to talk about it.

We believe loneliness is something all of us will experience at some point in our lives. We wanted to start a national conversation around loneliness. A fun and friendly campaign across all demographics, to encourage people to recognise loneliness in both themselves and others and feel inspired to come together to do something about it.
